Today's Z-Wave devices can be 'programmed' so that they behave in different ways - this is one of the great things about modern devices.
To change a device's behaviour you just change its Configuration Parameters - all pretty easy.
Some vendors include each and every configuration setting in their user manual (Fibaro for instance) - making your life real easy.
But others don't included any configuration information, not even on their website! Making it almost impossible to correctly configure devices - how can you, if you don't know what the parameters are and what their settings could be?
The Vesternet Application Notes give you all the information you need to install and configure a device, but we don't have guides for every device. Some devices don't need a guide, but that's not to say the configuration information is easy to find.
One great resource to use in these situations is the Pepper1 Z-Wave Device Library. This contains almost every available Z-Wave device and lists its complete capabilities and configuration parameters.
So now if you can't find the parameters, or the user manual doesn't clearly show how to wake-up or Include a device, your answers are just a few clicks away.
