Fibaro have just announced a new blind controller - Fibaro Roller Shutter 2.
The new Z-Wave module is designed to work with all electric roller blinds, awnings, venetian blinds, garage doors and gates. The module can control any device that is powered by an AC electric motor.
The tiny Roller Shutter 2 module has three key features compared to the previous Fibaro Blind Controller.
Five Operating Modes
Because different types of motor operate differently, the Roller Shutter 2 enables you to select from five different operation modes so that it works correctly with your blind or gate. Choose from:
- Roller blind with positioning or without positioning
- Garage door with positioning or without positioning
- Venetian blinds
Automatic Calibration
The Roller shutter 2 can be used with blinds that have mechanical and electronic limit switches. This means that it can be calibrated to work with any type of blind and you will be able to precisely control its position. You can set it to 75% open, fully closed or 48% closed - what ever you like.
Power Monitoring Calibration
The Roller Shutter 2 allows you to monitor the motor's energy consumption, helping you to keep on top of your energy usage and minimise your bills.
